ORLAND PARK, IL — After originally planning to move forward with this year's Memorial Day ceremony as they had in years past, the village of Orland Park has now instead decided to not allow the public to attend. Due to the coronavirus outbreak and in order to ensure social distancing is practiced, the village confirmed Wednesday they are instead encouraging residents to attend the ceremony "virtually."

That means the ceremony, set for 11 a.m. on the Monday, May 25 holiday, will be broadcast live on the Village of Orland Park YouTube channel.

Those who are subscribed to the Village YouTube channel will be automatically notified of the live broadcast. For those not available at that time, a recording will be available on YouTube and the village's other social media accounts afterward. Locally it can also be found on the Comcast Channel 4 cable access channel and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99.
