Middle Eastern Restaurant Opens 1st U.S. Location In Orland Park
Hashem Restaurant, based in Jordan, opened for a soft launch on Jan. 17 and serves authentic classics and other favorites.

ORLAND PARK, IL — A Middle Eastern restaurant opened its first United States location in Orland Park last week and residents have come out in droves to support it during the extended soft open.
Hashem Restaurant, which first opened in Jordan in 1956, recently moved into a stateside location at 8600 West 159th Street in a building that used to house the Orland Park Wine and Spirits Store.
The restaurant serves Middle Eastern food such as Qalleyah, a skillet type dish, and more well known favorites like hummus porridge and falafel.
