National Night Out Returns To Orland Park August 5
The event is an effort to build police-community connections and neighborhood camaraderie.

ORLAND PARK, IL — On Tuesday, August 5, the Orland Park Police Department will join law enforcement agencies across the country and host the Village's annual National Night Out celebration at the Orland Park Village Center, 14750 S. Ravinia Avenue.
Orland Park's National Night Out festivities will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Attendees will be able to meet members of Orland Park's Police Department as well as other first responders.
The nationwide event “promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer,” according to the National Association of Town Watch, the organization that founded the annual early August event in 1984.

Orland Park's festivities include a DJ, plenty of food and games. Local businesses will host booths with prizes, giveaways, coupons and safety related information. VRC Companies, LLC will be present to help residents with document shredding from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
