No Injuries In Saturday Morning House Fire: Orland Fire

The fire happened around 6:30 a.m. in the 15600 block of 112th Court.

ORLAND PARK, IL — No one was injured in a house fire in Orland Park early Saturday, fire officials said.

Orland firefighters were called at 6:30 a.m. to a structure fire in the 15600 block of 112th Court. On arrival, crews reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the home.

Firefighters deployed a hose line for the attack. Ventilation holes were cut in the roof, and the fire was extinguished shortly after. The resident evacuated safely without injury, and the pets were removed by the homeowner.

There are no reports of injuries to fire personnel.

“The quick response of our firefighters to the fire scene helped to ensure no one was injured and the fire did not spread further,” Interim Fire Chief John Purtill said.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation and is yet to be determined.”

Orland Fire was assisted at the scene by Tinley Fire, Palos Fire, Oak Forest Fire, Homer Fire, Northwest Homer Fire Mokena Fire and Frankfort Fire.

Mutual aid fire departments also provided station coverage while Orland fire crews were on scene.
