Orland Charity Spreads Cheer, Distributes 3,500 Toys To Area Children
One Love Global Wellness's initiative benefitted families in Mokena, Frankfort, New Lenox, Tinley Park, Lockport, and Homer Glen.
ORLAND PARK, IL â An Orland nonprofit brightened the holidays for thousands of area families, with toys gifted to local families.
This past December, the One Love Global Wellness Foundation distributing more than 3,500 toys to area children, including families from Mokena, Frankfort, New Lenox, Tinley Park, Orland Park, Lockport and Homer Glen.
The Orland Park-based nonprofit, a 501(c)(3) organization, receives toys collected through the National Toys for Tots holiday initiative, sponsored by the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Through collaboration with businesses like EggCetera CafĂŠ, the foundation hosted toy collection drives from October through December, gathering new, unwrapped gifts to share with the community.

The impact of this initiative aligns with the national success of the 2024 Marine Toys for Tots program, which delivered toys, books, and other gifts to over 12 million children nationwide.
In addition to bringing joy to children during the holidays, One Love Global Wellness Foundationâs mission extends year-round. Established in 2011 to combat food insecurity in Will County, the organization has impacted the lives of over 22,303 residents, distributing more than 241,008 pounds of food to children, seniors, veterans and families.

The foundation created its Mission Meals program in 2010 to address ongoing challenges, such as the 47,130 area residentsânearly 10 percent childrenâstruggling to access nutritious food. This initiative provides prepared meals and grocery items to community members. The next Mission Meals distribution is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at St. John United Church of Christ Community Center at 11100 2nd Street in Mokena.
