The most pressing issues facing our (board, district, etc.) are _______, and this is what I intend to do about them. Establishing good working relationships with the actual firefighters, to find out their needs, is my top priority. Tina Zekich and I were the only candidates to be endorsed by the Orland Firefighters for this reason. We made an effort from the beginning to speak with the Firefighters directly, to find out what they need to provide high caliber services on the street. Orland has the best Fire and EMS services and we want to protect that while also stopping wasteful spending.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post? Tina Zekich and myself are the only candidates that have been fully endorsed from the Firefighters and the Dispatchers. We could not be prouder of these endorsements and will not let them down.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)? The Orland Firefighters are the best there is. That is a testament to everyone that has come before us, and I want to continue the proud tradition of top-notch services.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform. On more than one occasion I’ve had to use the Orland Park Fire Department in emergency situations. The response times, professionalism and medical knowledge was superior. It was apparent that they were highly trained for these stressful situations. Along with the exceptional medical care that they administered, the compassion they showed for my family is something I will never forget. I was so blown away each time that i felt the need to give back. That is why I have been involved with Project Fire Buddies. Giving back to the community has always been a priority to my family and I. The love and support they give to families of critically ill children is beyond heartwarming. It is something I will always want to be a part of.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job? I have a strong business past that would benefit my position as a trustee. At the age of 21, I opened a Salon that was successful for 20 years. As my family started to grow, I decided to become a Real Estate Broker to give me more flexibility to spend with my boys. In a short time, I became a top producer with my Real Estate business. Over the years I have learned the importance of the work life balance.

Why should voters trust you? I'm not connected to any politicians. My motives for running are strictly from a position of wanting to give back to the community that has done so much for us. I also understand fiscal responsibility and will work to maintain proper budgets for the tax paying residents of Orland.

If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office as a success? I have heard, from the Firefighters, of the growing number of emergencies they are faced with yearly. In 2022, the Firefighters responded to over 12,000 emergencies. That is up nearly 50% in just 6 years. As these emergency numbers grow the district will need to grow with it. I will make sure the Firefighters have all the resources they need to handle that task.

What are your views on fiscal policy, government spending and the handling of taxpayer dollars in the office you are seeking? I believe in fiscal responsibility and accountability for the taxpayers' dollar. As a single mother raising 3 boys, I understand the importance of making every dollar count.
