Orland Lions Club To Host I-Pass Transponder Drop-off Event
The drop-off will be held Sept. 13–14 in the parking lot of the Orland Township office.

ORLAND PARK, IL — The Orland Park Lions Club, established in 1964, will host a transponder drop-off event Sept. 13–14.
Collection containers and Orland Park Lions Club volunteers will be available in the parking lot of the Orland Township Office, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., so drivers can stay in their vehicles while dropping off their transponders.
The Illinois Tollway is transitioning from using hard-plastic I-PASS transponders to window stickers. The stickers use radio frequency identification, eliminating the need for batteries. The Illinois Tollway is asking that customers dispose of expired transponders which contain lithium-ion batteries in an environmentally friendly way, and not placed in regular trash.
