Orland Lions Club Selling Live Christmas Trees, Wreaths In Fundraiser
The club opened its lot at 147th and Ravinia on Nov. 29, with daily hours.

ORLAND PARK, IL — The Orland Park Lions Club will kick off its holiday season Friday, Nov. 29, with sales of live Christmas trees, wreaths and wood crafts.
The organization will open its lot at 14750 S. Ravinia Ave. Nov. 29, with hours seven days a week. The lot will open at 9 a.m. Nov. 29, closing at 6 p.m. It will close early at 2 p.m. on Dec. 1, for the Village's Christmas parade. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, open 4 to 7 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Featured at the lot are live trees, wreaths, and reindeer and snowmen made from wood. Trees range from 6 feet to 13; wreaths from 20 inches to 48 in diameter.

Trees are wrapped for handling, loaded and secured to vehicles for free.
The organization is accepting donations for used eyeglasses and hearing aids; anyone with items to donate should bring them to the lot. The club provides health care, financial and educational expense assistance to individuals in the community who are in need of help. Members have contributed hands-on assistance for community environmental and beautification projects. The club supports The Lions of Illinois Foundation, which provides assistance to adults and children who are hearing and visually impaired. In addition, the club supports The Sight First Program of Lions Clubs International, a global fundraising effort to prevent blindness and restore sight around the world.

In addition, the Lions Club is continuing its efforts to collect iPass transponders, as the Illinois Tollway transitions to stickers. Visitors should bring their transponders to hand over to the club.
