ORLAND PARK, IL — An Orland Park man expected to be charged with sexually abusing two girls in Indiana is already jailed in Cook County on numerous similar charges, court records show.

Dyer police are ready to arrest Jesus "Jessie" Rios, 50, on two counts of child molestation, one count of sexual misconduct with a minor, and one count of child seduction—all felonies. In the counts of child molestation and sexual misconduct, the victim was under 14 years old, police said. The victim in the charge of child seduction was under 16, said Dyer Police Chief William Alcott.

During an investigation into allegations against Rios in Orland Park, police say officers learned incidents had also occurred in other jurisdictions, including Dyer. Orland police then alerted Dyer authorities that Rios had previously abused the same victims there, with incidents spanning from 2017 through 2019, both Alcott and Orland Park Police Commander Scott Lefko confirmed to Patch.

Victims in all counts there are listed as under 18 years of age. He was booked into Cook County Jail in October 2024. A Freedom of Information Act request Patch submitted for additional information on the Orland Park case was denied, citing privacy law regarding child sex abuse victims.

Rios last appeared in court Feb. 11, and the case was continued. He remains incarcerated, with a next court date set for March 4, according to court documents. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges in Illinois.
