Orland Nonprofit To Honor Veterans With Donations At Golf Outing
The Aug. 24 golf outing is sold out, but tickets are still available for the Patriotic Party, at 1:30 p.m. at Meadows Golf Course.

BLUE ISLAND, IL — A nonprofit with its roots in Orland Park will hold its 14th annual golf outing Saturday, to honor local veterans injured in recent combat.
Chicago Soldiers 2024 will host their 14th annual golf outing August 24 at Meadows Golf Course, 2802 W 123rd St., in Blue Island.
Started by Orland Park resident Dan Drew, the foundation focuses on providing network and financial support to wounded Chicagoland veterans. To date, they have raised over $500,000, according to the organization's website.

This year’s event will honor five local soldiers, who will be presented with donations raised through the 501(c)3.
"This is truly a veterans' event like no other," said Dan Drew, president of Chicago Soldiers.

Chicago Soldiers 2024 set a fundraising goal of $60,000, to be distributed to select veterans at the event.
The golf outing is sold out, but all are welcome to attend the Chicago Soldiers Patriotic Party, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $25, which includes lunch and drinks. The event includes a silent auction, raffles, merchandise for sale, and a special tribute to all Vietnam Veterans in attendance. Donations can also be made at www.ChicagoSoldiers.com.
