Orland Park Assistant Village Manager Leaves For Oak Brook Role
Greg Summers, who worked for Orland Park since 2019, was recently voted to serve as village manager for Oak Brook. He will begin in January.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Greg Summers, assistant village manager for Orland Park, will be leaving his post in January to take over as village manager of Oak Brook, board officials told Patch.
He was unanimously voted into office last month and will begin the new role on Jan. 3.
Summers, who had previously served the Village of Orland Park since 2019, will be taking over for the interim village manager, Oak Brook police Chief James Kruger, who had been taking on both roles for the past six months.

Before coming to Orland Park, Summers worked for the village of Barrington as the director of development and the director of engineering from 2008 to 2019. He has a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Wisconsin and an architecture degree from Washington University, according to his village biography.
Representatives for Orland Park did not immediately respond to Patch's questions on who would take Summers' place as assistant village manager.
