Orland Park To Host Open House For Downtown Development Tuesday
The village, along with developers Edwards Realty, will show a proposed plan for the highly anticipated Triangle project in Orland Park.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Park is hosting an open house event for residents to attend and learn more about upcoming plans to enhance the downtown area of the village.
Partnering with Edwards Realty, the village is inviting residents to come out to the Civic Center, located at 14750 S. Ravinia Avenue, Tuesday night at 6 p.m. The developers will highlight plans for the envisioned development that is expected to be a pedestrian-friendly, mixed-use destination to enjoy, according to a news release from the village.
“Engaging the community is a vital step in the process to create a mixed-use development that will be an Orland Park destination for all,” said Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau. “We look forward to the residents of Orland Park contributing to the future of this area where residents and visitors will have greater access to premium retail, entertainment and dining opportunities.”

Downtown Orland Park is found west and northwest of the 143rd Street and LaGrange Road intersection. The area holds the 143rd Street Metra Station and is unique in the Chicagoland region as it is "wholly Village-owned, master planned, zoned, and primed for development," the release states.
“We look forward to the opportunity to share our plans for Downtown Orland Park,” said Ramzi Hassan, President of Edwards Realty Company. “Taking into consideration extensive feedback we have received from the community, our approach will greatly enhance the experience for visitors, residents and businesses in Orland Park.”

Hassan continued to say, “Our vision is to create a downtown that the residents of Orland Park deserve. A pedestrian-friendly and economically vibrant destination that embraces mixed‐use retail, commercial, office, entertainment and residential development.”
According to the release, this development will build upon on the already successful developments of Orland Park Crossing (owned by Edwards Realty Company), Mariano's, Ninety7Fifty on the Park — a mixed-use building with 295 luxury apartments, retail space, and structured parking — University of Chicago Medicine Center for Advanced Care, 500+ space public parking structure, with 12,000 sq. ft. of first floor commercial space.
