Orland Park Man, 80, Suffered Medical Emergency Prior To Crash: Police
The crash happened Sunday evening in the 20700 block of LaGrange Road. The Orland man died following the crash.
FRANKFORT, IL — An Orland Park man killed in a crash Sunday evening in Frankfort may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash, Frankfort police said Wednesday.
Frankfort police were called Sunday at 6:30 p.m. to the 20700 block of northbound LaGrange Road, for a three-vehicle crash.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of one vehicle—later identified as Laurence Capriotti, 80—suffered a medical emergency, then striking the other two vehicles. CPR was initiated on scene. Capriotti was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, where he was pronounced dead.

Occupants of the other vehicles reported minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation pending autopsy results.
