Orland Park Man Chased Woman, Followed Her Home: Sheriff
Deputies said Vittorio Campbell was riding in a car with a woman when he began hitting her and later showed up at her home with a bat.

ORLAND PARK, IL â A 37-year-old Orland Park man is accused of assaulting a Grayslake woman and following her home, the Lake County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.
Vittorio Campbell is facing charges of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated criminal trespass to a residence, interfering with reporting a domestic violence and resisting a peace officer in connection with the Dec. 10 incident.
According to sheriff's deputies, Campbell was driving in a car with the woman coming back from Fox Lake when he began hitting her. Police said the woman tried to call 9-1-1 but Campbell would not let her. She was able to get out of the vehicle near the intersection of Route 59 and Grand Avenue and began to ran away, but the man chased her and shoved her to the ground.

Official said a person driving by tried to intervene, giving the woman enough time to get into the vehicle and drive away, leaving Campbell behind.
Later that night, deputies were called to the woman's home in Grayslake at around 1:45 a.m. after neighbors said they saw Campbell on the woman's doorstep with a baseball bat.

Deputies managed to get Campbell to drop the bat and took him into custody. He was being held on a $50,000 bond at Lake County Jail as of Friday.
