Orland Park Moves Curbside Clean-Up To Week of September 14

The Village of Orland Park has moved the annual curbside clean-up event to September

ORLAND PARK, IL — The Village of Orland Park has rescheduled its annual clean-up event to the week of September 14-18, 2020. This year's collection will again be offered on residents' regular garbage pick-up days, according to a news release from the village.

According to the release, Orland Park's Curbside Clean-Up event is held in cooperation with the Village's refuse hauler, Waste Management. Residents are to place all trash and bulk items curbside by 6 a.m. on their pick-up day and in an orderly fashion, i.e. bagged, contained or bundled, with no loose garbage, according to the release.

"The Village is happy to partner with Waste Management to offer the curbside clean-up," said Mayor Keith Pekau, according to a news release. "This will be the seventh year that we've offered curbside pick-up and each year we see an increase in the amount of household items getting safely and properly disposed of."

"Last year's volume for the clean-up was almost 400 tons," said Pekau, according to the release. "We are happy we were able to reschedule the pickup and provide this service to residents again this year."

For those who wish to dispose of or recycle electronics and other materials not accepted during Curbside Clean-up Week, they will have the opportunity to utilize the At Your Door Program and schedule a pickup date, according to the release.
