Orland Park Public Library Introduces Kanopy
Stream Classic and Indie for free with your library card.

Orland Park Public Library is thrilled to announce the launch of Kanopy, a premier streaming service offering library patrons free access to a vast collection of independent films, classic cinema, thought-provoking documentaries, and more.
Kanopy provides a diverse selection of high-quality content, including Criterion Collection classics, indie gems, and educational films, all completely ad-free. Library cardholders will receive 15 tickets per month to use on the platform, with most films requiring just two tickets to watch. Once a film is started, viewers have three days to finish it.
Patrons can enjoy Kanopy’s extensive library on their preferred devices, including smart TVs, mobile phones, tablets, and computers. Whether you’re a fan of timeless classics, groundbreaking indie films, or educational documentaries, Kanopy offers something for everyone to explore and enjoy.

“We’re excited to bring Kanopy to our patrons and expand access to high-quality films and documentaries,” said Communications Manager Jackie Boyd at Orland Park Public Library. “With Kanopy, library patrons can enjoy a diverse range of entertainment and educational content from the comfort of their own homes.”
To start streaming, Orland Park Public Library cardholders can visit orlandparklibrary.org/online-resources/ and sign in with their library card.
