Orland Park Turkey Trot Returns For 36th Year, Registration Open Now
Those interested in the Thanksgiving Day race are encouraged to register by November 15.
ORLAND PARK, IL — The Turkey Trot is returning to Orland Park Nov. 28, at 8 a.m. This year marks the 36th year for the holiday mainstay, with the Village expecting another sold-out event.
The chip-timed race held on Thanksgiving morning has become a highly anticipated tradition for many Orland Park residents and their guests looking to kick off the holiday with a brisk run before sitting down to their annual feasts.
"The Orland Park community looks forward to the Turkey Trot every year," said Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau. "It is always great to see families spending time together participating in this annual tradition, I would like to remind everyone to register early before spots run out."
