ORLAND PARK, IL — Illinois has a storied tradition of military service, with countless individuals dedicating their lives to protecting our nation. While words can't fully capture the immense gratitude we feel for our servicemen and women, Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to highlight a few remarkable veterans and active-duty military members from our state.

He is my fiancé

Please describe the individual’s military service.

Mr. Reks served a term in the Vietnam War, as a Specialist 4 in the United States Army. He served from 1967 they 1968, he then left the military and was employed by the United States Post Office for 30 years as a postman.

Tell us about the military hero and what your community should know about them.

He is a loyal military veteran who not only served in the Vietnam War, but also worked for 30 years in the USPS as a postal carrier, working, walking in various weather conditions. A very dedicated man.
