The fashion boutique will hold a farewell sale beginning Aug. 5.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Another Orland Park business has announced it is closing its doors. It's the end of an era for women's fashion at Kimberly Bond Boutique, which opened nearly four decades ago here in Orland Park.

Kimberly Bond Boutique will officially close its doors in August. Located at 8650 West 159th St, the boutique specializes in formal and evening wear, accessories and more. The store is synonymous with elegant attire and personalized customer service, and a closing sale will begin Aug. 5. Although she chose to retire, Bond told Patch over the phone Thursday that the coronavirus pandemic hit the business hard.

"I was always happy to help when and where I could," Bond said. "It was a lot of work, but we enjoyed doing what we could to help groups raise money for their programs."

"I have a few things in mind that I'd like to do, knowing that I'll remain working in the industry in some way, but, of course, a little rest and relaxation is first," she added.

The sale includes formal dresses, evening wear, long dresses, mother of the bride/groom, homecoming and prom dresses, accessories and more.
