Orland Township Is Looking For Food Drive Volunteers May 11

Orland Township is looking for volunteers to help with the "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive next Saturday.

ORLAND TOWNSHIP, IL — Orland Township is looking for volunteers to help with the National Association of Letter Carriers’ “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive next Saturday.

Volunteers are needed to help with tasks that include unloading mail trucks, sorting donations and checking expiration dates. Student volunteers will receive community service hours for school, the office of Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady said.

Volunteer shifts are available 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sat., May 11, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mon., May 13.

Volunteer shifts are scheduled in two-hour time periods, and take place at the township office at 14807 S. Ravinia Avenue.

To sign up for a volunteer shift, visit orlandtownship.org and under the “services” tab, click “Food Pantry.” For more information or questions, call the township at 708-403-4222.
