Orland's Junior Cadet, Fire Safety Camps Enrollment Opens June 3

ORLAND PARK, IL — Registration opens for Orland Fire Protection District’s popular Junior Cadet and Kid's Fire & Life Safety camps June 3.

The Junior Cadet camp will be offered as a one-day camp, and will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Mon., July 15.

The camp gives students an opportunity to explore fire rescue & EMS careers by providing a combination of classroom and side-by-side training with the department's cadets and firefighters.

Participation is limited to the first 15 applicants between 13 and 16 who live in the Orland Fire Protection District.

Camp Registration will be held at the Administration Building at 9790 W. 151st Street in Orland Park.

The Kid’s Fire & Life Safety camp will be offered as a three-day camp from Wed., July 17 to Fri., July 19. Camp times are from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This camp will be offered to the first 40 children ages 8 to 12 who are residents of the Orland Fire Protection District. Campers will receive classroom and outside activities.

You must bring a child's report card for proof of residency.
