The group said that even though townships are not always as high-profile as state or municipal government, they play an increasingly vital role in delivering services people depend on, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Orland Township Together is committed to playing an important role in providing our senior
citizens with drive thru-flu vaccination and safe, accessible transportation to medical visits. In
the coming months when a COVID-19 vaccine becomes available, we will be fully prepared to do
our part to ensure quick and safe distribution," Highway Commissioner Candidate Antiono
Rubino said.

The group said other priorities Orland Township Together is focused on is helping homeowners reduce their property tax burden, maintaining a strong community food pantry to help local residents who have been economically effected by the coronavirus, maintaining and improving local roads and parks and providing scholarships to local high schoolers at no cost to taxpayers.
O'Grady said talk of running against Mayor of Orland Park Keith Pekau in the 2021 election are not true.
"I love being the Orland Township's Supervisor and anytime I think it's time to be done, something tremendous comes along that makes me want to stay, help and work. The township is constantly expanding, and we have accomplished many goals. We are prepared to do more," O'Grady said. "So no, I don't have any intentions of running for mayor."
