People Over Politics Candidates Will Be On April Ballot: Judge
The candidates on the People Over Politics slate are back on the ballot after a judge ruled their intent to run as trustee was clear.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Three trustee candidates on the People Over Politics slate are back on the April ballot after a Cook County judge reinstated their petition.
William Healy, Cynthia Nelson Katsenes and Michael Milani were removed from the ballot after Orland Park's electoral board said it wasn't clear which positions the trio were running for. That would confuse voters, the board ruled.
Circuit Court Judge Paul Karkula reversed the decision at a hearing Thursday.

Burt Odelson, an attorney who represented a resident who challenged the slate's ballot petition, told the Daily Southtown that the judge "found there was no confusion. He said his client, Chris Kasmer, planned to appeal.
Healy, Katsenes and Milani called the decision “a strong victory for democracy" and the challenge a "blatant power grab" by established political parties in a statement.
