Man Robbed At Cleaners, Thieves Unable To Start His Car: Police
An armed robbery occurred at Norman's Cleaners in Orland Park that police say is linked to other robberies across the southland area.
ORLAND PARK, IL— An armed robbery occurred in the parking lot of Norman's Cleaners, 8110 143rd St., Tuesday morning just after 8 a.m., according to Orland Park police.
Police said that as the victim was leaving Norman's, he was confronted by two men who demanded his car keys and searched him, stealing cash and a cell phone from his pockets. One of the men had a gun.
The men were unable to start the man's vehicle and fled eastbound on 143rd St. in the same vehicle they arrived in, which police said had previously been reported stolen.

Police believe the men are linked to multiple recent armed robberies in the Southwest Suburbs. Police said investigators determined the men used the same vehicle in a similar armed robbery in Crestwood, just before the incident in Orland Park.

Police described the first suspect as a black man in his 20s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, of average build, with shoulder-length dreadlocks and goatee. The second suspect was described as a black man in his 20s, 6 feet tall, with a slim build, wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, according to police.
