Sears Hires Group To Help Sell Former Orland Square Mall Store: Report
The Sears was one of nearly 100 stores to close in 2018. Other former locations have become residential buildings or other stores.

ORLAND PARK, IL — The vacant former Sears store in Orland Park will soon be sold, developers hope. According to a report by Crain's Chicago Business, the store has been empty since nearly 100 of the big box retailers closed in 2018.
The owners, Seritage Growth, are attempting to sell the Orland Square Mall site to multiple businesses. In other suburbs, the empty sites are slated to become residential buildings.
