Special Olympian From Orland Park Throws First Pitch At White Sox Game

Leslie "Lou Lou" Gesser represented the village on "Orland Park Night" at Guaranteed Rate Field.

CHICAGO, IL -- A Special Olympian from Orland Park threw out the first pitch before the Chicago White Sox' Tuesday night game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Leslie "Lou Lou" Gasser had the ceremonial honor on behalf of the Orland Park community.

Gesser is a state and national medalist in the Special Olympics and has participated in the Village of Orland Park Special Recreation program for 20 years, according to the village. She competes for Special Olympics Illinois Area #7 and also volunteers for the Special Olympics Torch Run.

Tuesday night was "Orland Park Night" at Guaranteed Rate Field. Residents of Orland Park were treated to specially priced tickets to the White Sox game against the Dodgers.
