Strong Opinions Shared On Orland's Plan To Begin Legal Action
Several opinions on the village of Orland Park's plan to seek legal action have been shared.
ORLAND PARK, IL â Strong opinions, both for and against, has been shared since trustees in the village of Orland Park voted in favor of beginning legal action in reference to the state of Illinois' Restore Illinois plan.
Trustees voted 6-1 last week to approve a resolution to "authorize the immediate commencement of research by the Village Staff and Village Attorney regarding current status of legislation, other active or pending litigation by individual units of government or bodies that represent multiple local governments, and create detailed options for VOP to join existing litigation or start separate litigation."

Several dozen comments were shared on the Orland Park Patch article on the topic. Most were in favor of the village's action.
"Thank you for voting to reopen Orland Park. Are we only smart enough to shop at Costco, Marianos, Myers, and target," one comment read. "People suggesting that were too stupid to open other businesses are not concerned about our health theyâre concerned about politics only."

One of the commenters against reopening before the state's plan said "we need to follow the medical facts when reopening. Please donât sacrifice life over economics."
