Summer Job Fair Set For Orland Township Parking Lot

ORLAND PARK, IL — Nearly 20 companies in the south suburbs will be looking to hire during a summer job fair planned for Tuesday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Orland Township parking lot at 14807 S. Ravinia Ave. in Orland Park. The office of Orland Township Supervisor Paul O'Grady is planning the job fair that will include a variety of industries including health care, financial, home improvement, government, transportation, retail and trades.

A large tent will be set up as all company representatives and job seekers must follow current Center for Disease Control guidelines regarding social distancing and wear face coverings.

“Due to the pandemic, many residents are facing new challenges, including unemployment,” O’Grady said. “We are proud to be able to provide this opportunity for residents to meet with companies that are hiring, and help our community members take another step out of this difficult situation.”

Anyone can show up with no registration required, but the township office said all who do should bring several copies of their resume and dress in business casual attire.
