Third Veterans Golf Classic To Take Place This September
The Village of Orland Park announced their third annual golf event for veterans will take place Sept. 29.
ORLAND PARK, IL — The Orland Park Veterans Commission will be hosting the third annual Veterans Golf Classic Sept. 29, according to the Village of Orland Park.
The event will take place at Silver Lake Country Club, 14700 S. 82nd Ave., Orland Park. There is a limit of 144 golfers on a first come, first served basis, according to the village.
"The tradition of a golf outing hosted by the Mayor of Orland Park dates back a long time," said Mayor Keith Pekau, according to a news release from the village. "I remember when Mayor Mel Doogan hosted ‘Doogan Day’ to raise money for the Recreation Department when I was a kid in the 70s."
