Township To Host 'Everything You Need to Know about Medicare'

The Orland Township is hosting a free seminar for seniors to better understand heath coverage.

ORLAND PARK, IL — The Orland Township is hosting a seminar for seniors in the area to learn more about their health care coverage, according to a release from the township. The seminar will give participants an overall look at Medicare and Medicare Part D coverage, according to the release.

This event will be conducted by the townships Medicare and Senior Health Insurance Program coordinator, Kathy Kenyeri, according to the release. Kenyeri will cover all aspects of Medicare, Medicare Part D, enrollment periods, Medicare Part A and B benefits, prescription benefits, supplemental insurance policies, home healthcare, managed care and much more, according to the release.

"Understanding insurance coverage can be a daunting task," said Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady, according to the release. "I invite residents to take advantage of this seminar so they can have a better understanding of their healthcare coverage."

According to the release, the seminar will be held Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The release states that due to CDC guidelines and social distancing requirements, the seminar will be limited to 40 participants. An additional seminar may be added if needed. All attendees will be required to wear a face mask while inside the Township building according to the release.
