Updated List: Over 30 Companies To Attend Orland Annual Job Fair
The township's annual fall job fair is scheduled to take place Thursday at the Orland Township Activity Center, officials said.
ORLAND PARK, IL — Over 30 companies will be present at the township's annual job fair this Thursday, Nov. 11, village officials confirmed Monday.
Officials told Patch they hope the fair will help both those looking for work and employers alike as worker shortages sweep across the country.
The Fall Job Fair will take place on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Orland Township Activity Center at 14807 South Ravinia Avenue. The fair is open to all members of the public though attendees will be asked to wear a mask while inside the building.

The free event will host representatives from Moraine Valley Community College, Walgreens, Illinois Tollway and more for positions ranging from clinical therapists to cashiers. No prior registration is required. Business casual dress attire is recommended for those seeking employment but not required along with printed copies of their resume.
Public computers will be available for those who wish to fill out online applications for companies they meet at the fair.

"I encourage all residents to attend and take advantage of the opportunity to talk to a variety of potential employers," fair supervisor Paul O'Grady said in a statement. "Not only will this benefit those seeking employment, but the local businesses attending too; since they'll be able to speak with numerous prospective new hires."
Healthcare, financial, manufacturing, transportation and retail industries will be in attendance. All companies at the fair have current job openings, O'Grady said.
