The Village of Orland Park Sportsplex is celebrating Active Aging Week October 21-24 to help individuals discover new ways to stay active and healthy.

Active Aging Week is designed for those 55 years and older. The week’s activities include health screenings, free group exercise classes, snacks, games, informational workshops, giveaways and more. A pizza party, sponsored by One Trust Loans, will take place on Thursday, October 24 at 5:30p.m. The event will feature a raffle, and t-shirts will be handed out.

“It’s important to keep active and moving, especially as you age. People often forget, or don’t know exactly how, to stay active when life gets busy,” said Fitness Manager Deborah Geghen. “The Sportsplex’s Active Aging Week is Orland Park’s reminder to our senior population to embrace wellness and vitality through fitness.”
