Weekend Lane, Ramp Closures On I-57: IDOT
Illinois Department of Transportation officials will continue weekend closures for pavement patching and other repairs, they said.
ORLAND PARK, IL — Multiple weekend ramp and lane closures can be expected Saturday through Monday on Interstate 57, Illinois Department of Transportation officials announced. The closures are part of ongoing pavement patching and other repairs in the area which began on Oct. 22.
Starting at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, northbound and southbound lanes on I-57 will be closed between 183rd and 175th streets. Authorities said one lane will remain open in each direction at all times until crews leave the area at around 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15.
Also this weekend, the westbound ramp on Interstate 80 to southbound I-57 will be fully closed beginning midnight Saturday and ending Monday at 5 a.m. For that closure, officials said a detour will be available that will prompt drivers to keep going on westbound I-80, exit at Harlem Avenue and then merge back on I-80 to access southbound I-57.
