Woman Arrested, Cops Still Looking For Juvenile Wanted In Orland Park
Police from multiple towns searched Midlothian woods for a pair Tuesday night who were wanted in connection to a carjacking in Orland Park.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Park police officers have arrested one woman who was wanted in connection to a carjacking in Orland Park that ended in her and another person fleeing police into Midlothian Tuesday.
According to police, officers pulled over a white Nissan in Orland Park on Tuesday at around 5:45 p.m. When officers approached the car, the male and female inside sped away down 151st Street. Shortly after, an officer who was searching for the white Nissan pulled into a gas station where he found the car abandoned.
A gas station employee told the officer the couple had pulled into the Shell station, ditched the white car and demanded another customer give them the keys to their Mazda. The pair then fled down Harlem Avenue.

From there, officers from Orland Park, Oak Forest and Midlothian police departments searched for the vehicle, finally finding it abandoned near the corner of 143rd Street and Linder Avenue at around 6:30 p.m.
Witnesses told Orland Park police the man and woman may have run into the Rubio Woods near Midlothian Country Club. Drones, K-9 units and multiple officers searched the area for the pair but called off the search at around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

After looking at security footage, examining the abandoned car and talking to witnesses, Orland Park police identified 18-year-old Aviana Lipscomb as the female passenger in the car. Police have also identified the male driver, who is a juvenile, but had not yet located him as of Friday.

Lipscomb, of Matteson, was taken to Bridgeview Courthouse were she was charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking.
