District 207 Health Care Center Provides Free Care

The clinic located in Maine East High School gives care to uninsured students who wouldn't be able to afford a doctor's visit.

The Maine Township High School District 207 Health Center provides mostly free care to students.

Nurse Practitioner Therese Hanigan said she enjoys working with kids in the clinic, and providing care for those who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford it, the Park Ridge Hearld-Advcoate reports. Hanigan said the biggest challenge of her job is finding doctors for referrals who do work for free, the newspaper reports.Β
