Former Park Ridge city manager Jim Hock appeared before the city council last week regarding a disputed amount of federal taxes withheld from his last paycheck, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Hock said the federal taxes in the check were withheld at a higher rate than his previous paychecks, and wants the matter resolved before closing on his townhouse today. Mayor David Schmidt said the issue needs to be discussed by the city attorney, and would not address the situation at the council meeting, the newspaper reports.Β
