Park Ridge Recognized for Historic Preservation

The city of Park Ridge has been accepted to the Certified Local Government Program, the Associated Press reports.
The acceptance is recognition for the city’s historic preservation efforts. Park Ridge is one of 77 communities in Illinois that are part of the program. These communities had to have a historic preservation ordinance and a preservation review commission to be admitted, the AP reports.
