Consent Decree Information To Address Ongoing Combined Sewer Overflow Issues

A Dec. 15 press conference will further address the problem.

The City hosted a virtual press conference on Thursday, December 10 regarding the Consent Decree and the ongoing Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO)issues. This decree details the agreement with United States Environmental Protection Agency and Greater Peoria Sanitary District (GPSD) to implement a Green-Infrastructure-based solutions to reduce CSOs.

The Consent Decree represents the terms the parties have agreed to. This item will be addressed at a special City Council meeting, to be held virtually on December 15 at 12:00 p.m.
