1. A man was shot and killed Monday morning in the 1600 block of South Westmoreland Avenue, according to Peoria police. As of press time, his identity has not been released. (WMBD)

2. Police made an arrest over the weekend in downtown Peoria when a loaded handgun was found in a car during a security check. Terrance Burnside, 33, faces charges including unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. (25NN)

3. The city’s Memorial Day Program will be held Monday at the Gateway Building, the Peoria Memorial Association announced. The event at the riverfront begins at 10 a.m. (City)
