1. The trial has been pushed to July for an aggravated DUI which killed a 22-year-old woman in South Peoria in 2021. Christopher G. Clayton faces a 14-year sentence for “having meth and cocaine in his body" when he was involved in the deadly crash at Southwest Washington and Edmund Street. (WMBD)

2. Library workers held an “informal picket” of union members over the weekend at the North Branch on Grand Parkway, Peoria Public Radio reports. “We're professionals who have degrees and advanced degrees and we should be compensated for them,” a Lakeview branch employee told the radio station. (WCBU)

3. Gov. J.B. Pritzker was at Phoenix Community Development Services in Peoria Monday to discuss the state budget. It was passed last week at the end of the legislative session in Springfield. “At the end of the day, this is about building a future where everyone, regardless of their zip code, race, or economic status, has their basic needs met — food and housing included,” Pritzker said.
