23 D202 Elementary, Middle Schoolers Selected For All-State Choir
It's the first time Plainfield District 202 middle students will attend the state conference.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Twenty-three musicians from Plainfield elementary and middle schools were chosen to perform in the 2025 Illinois Music Education Association Junior All-State Conference.
The conference will take place from Jan. 29 to Feb. 1 in Peoria. It's the first time Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 middle students will attend the state conference.
Seventh- and eighth-grade students will rehearse on Jan. 31, and fifth- and sixth-grade students will have rehearsal on Feb. 1.

All musicians will perform at the Peoria Civic Center on Saturday afternoon.
The one-day junior and elementary chorus events will be held in conjunction with the ILMEA's state conference and all-state student programs for high school students.
