24-Year-Old Killed In I-55 Crash: Authorities

PLAINFIELD, IL — A 24-year-old Joliet man died in connection with a crash Sunday morning on an Interstate 55 exit ramp in Plainfield, according to authorities.

Oscar Munguia was pronounced dead at 6 a.m. at the ramp from the southbound interstate to Route 126 due to the crash, which is being investigated by state police, authorities said.

An autopsy was performed Sunday but the final cause and manner of death are pending police, toxicological and autopsy reports, according to the Will County Coroner’s Office.
