Artifacts Sought Ahead Of Indian Trail Middle School 60th Anniversary

PLAINFIELD, IL — Indian Trail Middle School is preparing to celebrate its 60th anniversary with an open house. Ahead of the event, the school is seeking artifacts showcasing its history to display.

The celebration is planned from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 28 at the school, 14723 S. Eastern Ave., following the 72nd annual homecoming parade in downtown Plainfield. The event will feature food trucks, a silent auction and raffles, photo booths and other activities.

School administrators are looking for memorabilia from Indian Trail Middle School to display during the open house. Items can include sports apparel, pennants, trophies, band gear, jackets, yearbooks and newspaper articles in which the district's original junior high is featured.

Officials said all items will be on loan and returned after the event. Anyone with artifacts to lend to the school should contact ITMS@psd202.org.
