Plainfield Central grad makes dean’s list at University of Iowa
Justin Pavalon, a Plainfield Central High School graduate, made the dean’s list for 2024 spring semester at the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business. He is a finance major and in his third year at the time.

Plainfield student graduates with anthropology degree

Mia Listello of Plainfield, Illinois, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology - Forensic Anthropology with a minor in Psychology from Pennsylvania Western University on May 4.
Listello, who studied at PennWest's Edinboro campus, was among nearly 1,800 students who received undergraduate, masters and doctoral degrees.
PennWest University celebrated the successes of these graduates during spring commencement ceremonies on each campus.

Local student accepted into chiropractic school
Matthew Rello of Plainfield, IL, was accepted for enrollment for the 2024 summer trimester in the Doctor of Chiropractic degree program at Palmer College of Chiropractic's Main Campus in Davenport, Iowa.

Brianna Davis, from Plainfield, graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) in Spring 2024. Davis received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with High Honors.

Plainfield student is Cornhusker Marching Band member
Brandon Muff of Plainfield is part of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's 300-member Cornhusker Marching Band, which will make its 2024 football season debut Aug. 31 at Memorial Stadium with pregame and halftime performances at Nebraska's home opener against UTEP.
Muff, a sophomore majoring in software engineering, plays tuba.

Missouri State University summer 2024 graduates include Plainfield student
Missouri State University awarded 576 degrees to students in summer 2024. The graduates will participate in the fall commencement ceremony on Dec. 13 at Great Southern Bank Arena.
Oluwadare Ogunyinka of Plainfield (60586) graduated with a Master of Science in cybersecurity.
Students who graduated with honors completed at least 30 credit hours with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.

Plainfield students on UW-Whitewater women's soccer 2024 roster
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team heads into its second season under the leadership of Dan Montanye. In his first campaign, the Warhawks finished sixth in the WIAC, reaching the conference playoffs for the 17th consecutive season.

Plainfield South grad is member of University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team
Brian Stanton, a human performance major from Plainfield, IL, and graduate of Plainfield South High School, is a member of the 2024 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team, which started its 2024 season last Saturday with a 34-7 victory against John Carroll (Ohio).
The Warhawks are ranked third in the nation by D3football.com and the American Football Coaches Association.
As of September 2024, the Warhawks ranked third in the nation.
