D202 To Start Curbside Meal Service As E-Learning Begins Aug. 31

Students will get five breakfasts and lunches on Mondays from 10 a.m. to noon, and on Thursdays, from 3-5 p.m., at the nine D202 schools.

PLAINFIELD, IL — As Plainfield School District 202 students return to class with remote learning Monday, they will also be provided food through the district's Curbside Meal Service.

The food distribution program will be available to all enrolled Plainfield school students and various slots will be available to meet the families' needs.

Curbside Meal Service will be available Mondays from 10 a.m. to noon, and Thursdays, from 3-5 p.m. at the nine D202 schools. Students will receive five breakfasts and fives lunches at pickup.

Parents and guardians may pick up meals without children present, but will require student's name, ID number and grade. Meals can be picked up from any of the designated sites, irrespective of the student's home school location.

Charges for the food may apply based on the family's economic status.

  • To qualify your child for free/ reduced meals please visit www.nlappscloud.com to complete an application. Results are confidential and available immediately. You must re-enroll each school year. It is encouraged for all families to apply.
  • Free students will receive five days of meals (breakfast and lunch) free of charge.
  • Reduced fee students will receive five days of meals at the discounted rate of $3.50.
