Fire In Plainfield Home Causes Extensive Smoke Damage
The fire was extinguished quickly and the three occupants were able to evacuate along with the family dog.
PLAINFIELD, IL — An overnight fire in a Plainfield home Monday caused extensive smoke damage, the Lockport Fire Protection District said.
Firefighters responded to a fire alarm at 11:25 p.m. in the 13700 block of Parkfalls Court in the unincorporated Lakewood Falls subdivision.
According to the release from the Lockport Fire Department, fire companies arrived to find a two-story single family residence with a fire in the first floor family room. The fire was quickly extinguished.

The three adult occupants in the residence were awoken by their smoke detectors and were able to evacuate the home along with the family dog. One of the occupants was transported in good condition to a local hospital for evaluation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but appears to be accidental in nature.
