Fire At Plainfield McDonald's Friday Morning: Fire Department
The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes and no injuries have been reported.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Fire Protection District responded to a fire Friday at McDonald's, according to Fire Chief Jon Stratton.
He said firefighters responded to fire alarm at 9:37 a.m. at the McDonald's located at 15810 S. Route 59. Upon arrival smoke was seen coming from the roof area. A fire began in the fryer and extended into the kitchen hood system ductwork.
The kitchen hood fire suppression system activated to help contain the fire and with the help of the Troy Fire Protection District, the fire was extinguished within 10 minutes. Everyone was safely evacuated, Stratton said. No one was injured.

The restaurant closed for cleaning and the Will County Health Department was called to inspect the restaurant, and they reopened this afternoon.
