Search Warrants Executed In Drauden Road Incident: Plainfield PD

The Friday morning incident, which drew a large police presence, is contained and not a threat to the public, Plainfield police said.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A large police presence is gathered Friday morning in the area of Drauden Road and Cerena Circle in Plainfield, officials said.

The incident is contained and not a threat to the public, police said in a Facebook post at 9:10 a.m. Officials are asking the community to avoid the area if possible.

Asked for information about the incident, Commander Anthony Novak told Patch that the Plainfield Police Department, with help from several other agencies, "executed search warrants today regarding an ongoing and active criminal investigation."

Novak said he could not provide additional information but that more details will be released when the investigation is completed.
