Plainfield Chamber Chief Collins Resigns
Longtime chamber staple ready to spend more time with family.

Liz Collins, the president and CEO of the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce, has resigned effective March 1.
In a news release from Friday, Collins, who was recently elected to the Will County Board, said: "The time has come for me to say goodbye to this chapter in my life. I have two daughters who both live out of state but who are only an hour away by plane. I plan to spend more time with them and my three grandchildren. My husband retired a year ago and we would like to do some traveling."
Collins joined the chamber 20 years ago and volunteered on various committees for seven years.
