Man Threatens Multiple People With Knife, Spits In Cop's Face: Plainfield PD
The incident occurred in the parking lot of the man's apartment building in Plainfield, police said.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A Plainfield man is facing charges of assault after police say he threatened multiple people with a knife on May 7.
Officers were dispatched around 5:30 p.m. to the parking lot of an apartment building in the 23700 block of South Springs Court for a report of a man, who lives there, yelling and threatening others with a knife.
Police say the man, identified as 43-year-old Ricardo Diaz Jr., made derogatory remarks toward another man, and due to his demeanor and proximity, made him fear he'd be battered. Diaz also "aggressively approached" someone else while holding a pocketknife and threatened him, Commander Anthony Novak told Patch.

Diaz was transported directly to the Will County jail. Jail logs show he was charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer, one count of aggravated assault, one count of assault and one count of disorderly conduct.
